By using cotton gauze instead of the normal paper-type filter medium, K&N have developed a filter which not only offers better filtration, but that also gives higher levels of airflow and lasts longer than the paper equivalent. This makes K&N air filters ideal for performance engines and racing applications as the increased airflow gives better engine performance with no compromises. K&N performance filters also have the additional benefit of being cleanable - meaning that they do not need to be replaced at service intervals.
