This is the official review of the 2011 MotoGP season; a season packed with highs and lows, elation and heartbreak, RIP Super Sic - a true talent taken before your time! From the very beginning of pre-season testing one man had one hand on the championship title!...The dream team that was Stoner and Honda stamped their authority and superiority over the rest of the field, brushing off various challenges to take the title in a dominant fashion before the championship had even reached the ultimate round! Meanwhile all season Rossi struggled with a Ducati that refused to succumb to his two wheel charms, and no matter how he tried or what he tried when it came to riding or developing the Ducati into a sweeter handling machine, she was as stubborn as a mule all season long! Jorge had a great season and was the main contender / threat to Stoner and the Honda, whilst Dani's strong start to the season and hopes of also being a contender were quickly dampened with an unfortunate collar bone injury which left him languishing down the rankings - however the plucky Spaniard battled back from injury with some impressive riding and podium positions. By far the biggest heartbreak of the championship was obviously the horrific accident involving the late Marco Simoncelli; Super Sic was and shall be forever remembered as a special racer, who raced hard and loved life. This DVD includes detailed highlights from every round of the championship, packed with spectacular on-board and trackside footage. Alongside this jaw-dropping race action is the fantastic bonus material, such as complete on-board laps of each circuit, plus much, much more! |
