About Engine Management & Tuning

A rev limiter is used to prevent your engine from over revving on acceleration and causing expensive damage. When a driver is mid race or mid stage it isn't always possible to keep an eye on the rev counter or shift light and sometimes, in the heat of the moment, the engine can be revved higher than it should. By fitting a rev limiter this removes the possibility of over revving and provides a safeguard against a split second mistake which could result in a costly engine rebuild. Rev limiters are user settable so you decide the safe rev limit for your engine. They are simple to fit, requiring only 3 or 4 wires to be connected.
